Breakfast food and great atmosphere? Let's find out.

Honestly, I went into Key's Cafe not sure what I was going to get. They have multiple locations all around Minnesota, as well as one in Hudson, WI. I was half expecting a Denny's atmosphere but was presently surprised.

Appetizer
I feel like you can not EVER go wrong with tater tots, and I was not wrong ordering these. Covered in a crunchy light layer of crisp, they offered a fantastic opener for my meal here. I've had a number of different tater tot dishes (Hi, I'm from the midwest and eat tater tot hot dish multiple times a year) and these were cooked to perfection.

Entree ($11.95)
Alright, this is a mouthful...
Smoked Turkey Benny with Cajun hollandaise sauce. Served with 2 eggs and hash browns. I've always been a fan of Eggs Benedict and this gave me major Eggs Benedict vibes. I'm not too experienced with breakfast food because honestly, I have not liked it for most of my life. I'm slowly working on broadening my views on breakfast food, this was a great way to do that. The hollandaise sauce was not the best I've had, but the rest of the dish was very nice. My server also helped me select this dish, since it was my first time at Key's Cafe, I really appreciated it.

Coffee
Now this, Is what I can 100% get behind. I love coffee, It is basically my favorite drink. This night I decided with a caramel latte and was impressed by how well they made it. It had such a great balance of sweet and bitter.

Conclusion
This is a great place to stop whenever you are in Minnesota. With a list of other convenient locations, it is great that you have the option to go somewhere else other than the downtown St. Paul cafe. The food is incredible and it is a great variation from the regular options (Denny's, Perkins, and IHOP.)
